Who is Farmwood Press?: The Printers

Letterpress is our second love, right after our adorable daughter Rosemary. We are artists striving for excellence in the legacy of our craft. Get to know us and our love story below.

Chris attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and then Kennesaw State University. He was pursuing art and the adventurous life. Katie graduated from Jacksonville State University with a BFA in Photography. She then moved to Colorado to explore art and the joys of life.

We met on April 6th, 2004. Although it was not love at first sight, it grew rapidly — and Chris proposed after just five months. We were married on April 2nd, not quite a year since the beginning of our story.

Once we were married, we changed the name of Katie’s already-thriving photography business, and it became a project we pursued together. We have been amazed at where we have come in our love and business.

And now, our love story is continued with our sweet daughter Rosemary Kate.

We get it now. We know how much pride and love all of you parents feel for your children. What an incredible journey we have started on, and how honored we feel to be her parents.

God has blessed us with an enduring passion for our craft, business, clients and colleagues. Each one has made us who we are. We are honored to be a part of this industry and a part of your lives.

Katie is a health nut, and Chris is starting to come around to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. A good day for us would involve hitting a few of our favorite food stops around Atlanta. They could be stores or restaurants — if food is involved, then we are happy. We also love exploring the hidden parts of the city and little eclectic boutiques of goodness. We love anything textural as well as the written word and stationery. That’s why it was inevitable that we would eventually jump into the world of letterpress printing.
